Meizu has expanded its smartphone line-up with the launch of the M5 Note in China. Available in Grey, Silver, Champagne Gold and Blue colour options, the smartphone comes in three variants. The 3GB RAM/16GB storage variant costs 899 Yuan, 3GB RAM/32GB storage version bears a price tag of 999 Yuan and the 4GB RAM/64GB version carries a price tag of 1499 Yuan. The handset is available for pre-order starting today and will go on sale from December 8.


In terms of specifications, the new Meizu M5 Note features a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the handset is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek SoC. The internal storage can be expanded via microSD cards.


The hybrid dual-SIM smartphone has a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. There is also a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. M5 Note comes with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the Home button. The company claims that the sensor can unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds and can be used for digital payments using Alipay. Backed by a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support, Meizu M5 Note offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as major connectivity options.


Recently, Meizu launched its M5 smartphone at an event in China. The handset sports a 5.5-inch HD display of 720x1280 pixel resolution. Powering the device is an octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM. It offers 16GB/32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB through microSD cards.


The hybrid dual-SIM handset runs Yun OS 5.1 topped with Meizu's Flyme UI. It has a 13MP rear camera dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and a 5P lens. A 5MP front camera for selfies is also included. The whole package is backed by a 3,070mAh battery.
