Bollywood's leggy lass, Deepika Padukone, who was a national level badminton player in her teenage, is now all set to woo her fans with her badminton skills.
Buzz in Tinselville is that Mahesh Bhatt is planning a film on Saina Nehwal, the ace Badminton player who made India proud by winning Bronze medal at London Olympics 2012.
The grapevine has it that after Priyanka Chopra as Mary Kom, Deepika Padukone might be roped in to play Saina. Though no official confirmation of the casting has come from Bhatt yet, Saina Nehwal wants Deepika to play the role.
After the success of Milkha Singh's biopic 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', it seems every filmmaker wants to cash on this new hit formula.
While Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing Olympic winner Mary Kom then Deepika Padukone will be seen stepping into ace badminton player Saina Nehwal's shoes.
"I think only Deepika Padukone can do justice to my onscreen image. Firstly, people should be able to connect with the character and given Deepika's popularity, she would be perfect for the role," Saina Nehwal said recently at a public event. On the other hand Deepika too has shown her interest in doing a film based on badminton.
Well, if the things worked out, you can see Deepika enacting Saina in a film very soon.
