What You'll Need: 4 cups Flour 2 tsp Ginger 2 tsp Baking powder 2 tsp Cloves 2 tsp Nutmeg 2 tsp Cinnamon 2/3 cup Shortening 2/3 cup Molasses 1/3 cup Water 1 tsp Vanilla 1 cup Brown sugar 1 Egg Crushed Jolly Ranchers Steps: In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, baking powder, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon In a separate bowl, mix shortening, molasses, water, vanilla, brown sugar and egg Add mixture from first bowl into the second bowl, blend well Let full mixture chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator Roll floured mixture out with a rolling pin Use snowflake cookie cutters to make shapes Use a smaller cookie cutter to hollow out snowflakes, making smaller cookies Add crushed Jolly Ranchers to insides of snowflakes Bake snowflakes and smaller cookies at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
