Leah Remini is at war again with the Church of Scientology, and is now demanding the church pay her $1.5 million in damages. The actress starred in a docu-series, Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, on A&E following her battle with the church. While the series premieres in only one week, the church allegedly tried preventing the show from airing. “I felt I had a responsibility to say, ‘I’m not going to allow you to bully these people who were very brave to come out and tell their stories,’” Remini said on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show. Remini has been a vocal critic of the Church of Scientology since leaving it in 2013.
