Syria’s Assad calls Trump ‘natural ally’ to fight terror

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad suggested he is willing to work with President-elect Donald Trump in fighting terrorism. Assad said he would consider Trump to be a "natural ally" if he were to fulfill his campaign pledge to focus on taking down terrorists. The Syrian president noted he is still doubtful of Trump delivering his promises, but would like to work alongside him. Since the start of Syrian civil war in March 2011, more than 300,000 people have died in the conflict.
