Diamond Dogs, the eighth studio album from David Bowie -released in May of 1974 was a combination of material that had been intended for a theatrical production of the George Orwell novel, 1984, that had been passed on by the author's estate, some material that had been worked on while on the road with the Spiders from Mars as well as the appearance of new character, Halloween Jack.
