When asked about the potential for overturning the Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage, Donald Trump replied, “It’s irrelevant because it was already settled. It’s law.”

On Sunday night, ‘60 Minutes’ broadcast its post-election interview with Donald Trump.
When asked by CBS' Leslie Stahl about the potential for overturning the Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage, Trump replied, “It’s irrelevant because it was already settled. It’s law”
He also commented, “These cases have gone to the Supreme Court. They’ve been settled. And...I’m fine with that.”
Trump's stance is a departure from that of others in the Republican Party.
According to ABC News, "The Republican Party’s official platform, ratified by the party in July, opposes same-sex marriage...and supports proposed 'religious freedom' legislation that critics say would allow businesses to deny services to gay people."
