Sacks full of burnt currency notes were found on a road in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh state. Based on locals information, police personnel arrived on the spot. The police said Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes were cut and burnt. They brought to the notice of the RBI officials and kept unburnt currency notes in their custody. It is learnt that notes belong to a company owner and workers dumped cut notes near the road and set it on fire.
