NASA develops new device to ‘sniff out’ life on Mars

NASA has developed a rover that is capable of "sniffing" out life on Mars. The device, called the Bio-Indicator Lidar Instrument, is used by the U.S. military to identify toxic agents and lethal chemicals. This is the first time fluorescent instruments will be used for planetary studies.
