Fires were reported at a migrant camp located on the outskirts of Calais in the early hours of Wednesday, October 26. French authorities began to demolish sections of the ‘Jungle’ camp on Tuesday, after moving thousands of migrants to temporary housing in locations across France.

The camp was home to around 7,000 people hoping to obtain asylum or illegally enter the United Kingdom via the Channel Tunnel and the ferry terminal in the northern French port. Credit: Instagram/ricardo_abdahllah
