Cool footage has emerged of a surfer riding on a rare storm swell off the coast of Point Roberts, WA, USA.

The footage, captured earlier this month using a camera attached to the surfer's board, shows the man riding the waves.

According to the filmer, the swell only ever occurs five to ten days a year, and occurs only on large localised winter wind storms.
