A short 3 lap race to try out my new Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. The verdict? It's a fantastic wheel for the money and used ones are selling on Ebay for around £40-£60 at the time of writing. I actually paid under £20.00 for a mint example - patience is a virtue!

As for the gameplay, it's nothing special but it does highlight what many feel is one of the few shortcomings of Gran Turismo. At the start of lap 2, at the chicane, I make a mistake, completely missing my braking point and slamming the car into first gear, causing howls of protest from the drivetrain. Somehow, I go from 11th to third in one corner and the car suffers no ill effects from the mechanical abuse or the resulting collision. This was recorded with all assists off and full mechanical and cosmetic damage turned on.
