Donald Trump on Monday said that it's possible that House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) does not want him to win the presidential race because of Ryan's own political ambitions.

"Well, maybe not, because maybe he wants to run in four years or maybe he doesn’t know how to win," Trump told ABC News when asked if he believes Ryan wants him to win in November.

"Maybe just doesn’t know how to win. I mean, who can really know. But I know I’m in his territory and they are all screaming for Trump," Trump continued. "The head of the [state] Republican Party just left me. He shook my hand. He says, 'You are gonna win Wisconsin.' And I know one thing, we are gonna do very well here."

Since Ryan distanced himself from Trump over the 2005 tape in which Trump boasts about groping women, the Republican nominee has repeatedly lashed out at the speaker and complained about a lack of support from the Republican establishment.

Trump told ABC News Monday before a rally in Wisconsin that he thinks Ryan should offer him more support.

"I don’t want to be knocking Paul Ryan. I think he could be more supportive to the Republican nominee," he said. "We are doing well. I think we are gonna win the election."
