Footage has emerged from Bermuda showing the beginnings of Hurricane Nicole, which is about the hit the island.

The video, filmed at around 7.30am this morning, shows heavy rain, powerful winds and a particularly choppy sea.

The Category 4 storm is still offshore but is due to batter the island, with schools and offices now closed in preparation.
