Agra: Shah Jahan's 357th Urs celebrated at Taj Mahal

Amid Qawwali recitals, a 575-metre-long `chadar` was offered on the grave of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan at the Taj Mahal on the occasion of his 357th Urs. Thousands of people offered special prayers at the graves of emperor Shah Jahan and his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The 357-metre-chadar is the longest one offered on the emperor`s grave. Prince Tucy, a descendent of the Mughal family arrived from Hyderabad to participate in the annual event.
