IIT-Patna's first convocation held on 23rd Dec. 2012. Former president APJ Abdul Kalam had an interactive session with students here, he said Bihar is an agricultural hub and the IITians can showcase their innovations and technical knowledge to strategies and develop markets for variety of agricultural produces to enable the farmers to maximize their return.
