Good Friday is observed on the Friday before Easter Sunday. On this day Christians in Ranchi commemorated the passion, or suffering, and death on the cross of the Lord, Jesus Christ. On Easter Sunday, the most holy day of the Christian calendar, believers attended religious services in Ranchi. A day before candles were lit in Loyola Ground to celebrate the occasion.
