BHU founder and freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malaviya, was Monday posthumously conferred with the country’s highest civilian award by President Pranab Mukherjee at a function in Rashtrapati Bhawan. Malaviya’s family members, who received the award, handed it over to BHU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Girish Chandra Tripathi, on Tuesday. This superior award was put on display at university’s Malaviya Bhawan Tuesday. BHU gets another cause of celebration because it is currently celebrating 100th anniversary of its inception.
