CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA — Many of the so-called “protesters” demonstrating this week’s killing of a black man by a black cop in Charlotte are venting their anger at white people and journalists.

The demonstrations got so crazy on Wednesday that one guy started shooting in a crowd and hit someone in the head. That person, identified as Justin Carr, is now dead. The bullet didn’t come from the cops.

Footage also emerged on social media Thursday of a mob beating on a white man in a garage. This reportedly took place prior to the state of emergency being declared in the city on Wednesday, reported the Daily Mail.

Elsewhere, reports emerged of journalists being attacked by rioters. A CNN reporter got “body-checked” on camera, while two reporters for local TV station WLTX 19 were “punched” and “tackled.”

Footage posted to the TWC Charlotte Twitter account appears to show protesters beating on those same journalists beside a fire. The cops stepped into save them. One of those journalists, Mary Sturgill, writing on her Twitter account, said they were both at Penn Presbyterian Hospital.

The trigger point for all this mob hysteria came after Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer Brentley Vinson shot and killed Keith Scott. The protesters cite racial discrimination, but both Vinson and Scott were black.

The cops say Vinson shot him because he was armed and posed a threat. His family said he was reading a book.

NBC Charlotte acquired a photo that reportedly shows a gun on the ground after Scott was killed. Police confirmed this was Scott’s gun.

It’s tragic that Scott was killed, but the evidence currently points to him having a gun. So, at least from our perspective, the rationale behind the protests, rioting and mob violence just doesn’t make any sense.
