This is my very first vlog in which I will talk about the cost of living in the Philippines for Davao city. First off the food prices in the Philippines are very low compared to the USA. for example you could buy a mango for as low as 25 cents or lower if you buy from a street vendor. If you were to rent a house you can find a deal as good as around 12,000 php or about 300 dollars US and I can speak to this since I am currently renting a house for that rate.

In terms of transportation you can find very cheap options and each have their benefits and drawbacks. The main transportation I use is a taxi which start off at around One US dollar or about 45 php in Philippines currency. The Philippines in my opinion would be a great place to retire if you are looking to maximize your retirement money as it will go a very long way here.

Some things to consider while living in the Philippines is that at certain periods of time you may have water pressure issues for around 1 or 2 hours each day. Additionally you many have frequent power outages during certain parts of the year at least that has been my experience in Davao City, Philippines.
