Former GE CEO Jack Welch has long been a Republican, but he only recently voiced his support for Donald Trump, notes CNBC.
In interviews on both CNBC and Fox, Welch outlined why he believes the GOP candidate is the best choice for the nation.
Tax breaks for the rich play a large role in his pro-Trump argument, with Welch saying, “I love capping the deductions on the wealthy and I think it’s very important that we have a growth-oriented policy and I love the policy that Trump outlined.”
Welch also revealed he, like Trump, is a fan of the Keystone pipeline, fracking, and cutting back on the recent climate change agreement, noting, “The EPA is out of control.”
As for Trump’s general manner, Welch said he finds it to be, “presidential and substantive.”
