Notes: Tennessee fell to 0-1 on the year with the 25-16 home defeat to the Minnesota Vikings as a +2 ½ point underdog. The total finished at over 40 points. The Titans could not hold a 10-0 halftime lead as they get outscored 25-6 in the second half. They produced 316 offensive yards and struggled running the football with 64 yards on 23 carries. They had a -3 turnover margin. Marcus Mariota completed 25 of 41 passes for 271 yards with two touchdowns and a pick. The Tennessee defense deserved a better fate as they contained the Vikings running game to 65 yards on 28 carries and giving up no touchdowns in Minnesota’s three red zone drives.
Detroit is 1-0 on the campaign with the 39-35 road victory to the Indianapolis Colts as a +2 ½ point betting underdog. The total finished at over 51 points. The Lions blew a 21-3 first half lead as they rallied from a 35-34 deficit with 37 seconds remaining by converting a 43 yard field goal with four seconds left. Matthew Stafford had a huge game completing 31 of 39 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns. Detroit did give up 385 yards passing and four touchdown tosses to Andrew Luck.
