They ran it 20 times for 64 yards. Ryan Tannehill hit on 16 of 29 passes for 186 yards and engineered only one touchdown drive in three red zone chances. Defensively Miami allowed Russell Wilson to pass for 258 yards.
New England is 1-0 with the 23-21 road victory to the Arizona Cardinals as a +9 point underdog. The game total went under 44 ½ points. Patriots were down 21-20 late then Stephen Gostkowski nailed a 32 yard field goal with under four minutes left. New England survived a try by Arizona at a long field goal as time expired but it sailed wide. The Patriots moved the football for 363 yards on the Arizona defense. Jimmy Garroppoo filling in for a suspended Tom Brady hit on 24 of 33 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown. On defense New England allowed 271 yards passing and two touchdown tosses to Carson Palmer. They did allow 92 yards on the ground to the Cardinals on 19 carries and 3 of 3 conversions inside the red zone.
