Well this is actually happening, Sting actually challenged for the WWE world heavyweight championship at a WWE pay-per-view. He'll face Seth Rollins at Night of Champions on Sun., Sept. 20, 2015, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Also, John Cena cashed in his rematch clause and will face Seth Rollins for the United States Championship.
