Further, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a weapons stockpile, which included pieces for the assembly of an AR-15 assault rifle, knives, and tasers.
On Monday afternoon, 40-year-old Joseph Garguilo appeared before a federal judge on the charge of being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition.
His right to acquire firearms and related objects is currently suspended in connection to a past restraining order.
The FBI began looking into Garguilo in late July, reports the Boston Herald.
According to WHDH, investigators raided the man’s home on August 26 and took him into custody the next day.
