Warra the wombat joey is known for giving his caretakers a laugh over the trouble he frequently finds himself in. This time, the orphaned wombat was nowhere to be found until Donna Stepan, the brains and muscle behind the Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary in Gundaroo, NSW, found him bundled in clothes in the washing machine.
The energetic Warra is seen mustering the courage to hop out of the machine but finds the distance too tall, and buries himself in clothes once again.
“It [was] far too quiet. Wandering where wombat joey Warra is…of course, in one of the washing machines!” wrote Stepan in a Facebook post.
