Authorities complicit in Rohingya human trafficking

A Thai human rights legal expert accused some officials of being involved in human trafficking, following raids to rescue more than 700 Rohingya Muslims from a warehouse and a rubber plantation in Thailand's southern Songkla province.

Thai media outlets reported that a police investigation had found senior army officers, some with ranks as high as major and colonel, were involved in smuggling Rohingyas from Myanmar into Malaysia via Thailand.
