Smoke from the Blue Cut Fire scorching through Cajon Pass, California, was visible about 80 miles away on August 17.
This footage, shot in Signal Hill, shows smoke plumes from the fire rising above Mt Baldy. Signal Hill is roughly 76.6 miles away from Cajon Junction, the area in the Cajon Pass mountain region where the Blue Cut Fire first broke out on August 16, according to InciWeb fire information.
