Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Aug. 9 endorsed Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) in her primary campaign for reelection. Wasserman Schultz resigned as chair of the Democratic National Committee following the release of thousands of internal email exchanges among Democratic officials.
