Flint, Michigan is known for having its residents exposed to lead-contaminated drinking water. Now it had its first case reported this year of Legionnaires' disease.It is a respiratory infection that has been linked to the crisis. Health officials said "At this time, there is no indication that the individual was exposed within the city of Flint," However At least 12 people have died in Flint due to Legionnaires' disease which many think is related to the lead-contaminated drinking water crisis. The crisis was caused when Governor Rick Snyder switched Flint's tap water source to the Flint River in April of 2014 to save money.
