Ansbach attack was explosive device says mayor, Carla Seidel.


"We are looking at... a gas explosion I can definitely say no, it wasn't that, it was obviously an explosive device."

"During the explosion ten injured, or rather around ten injured, we cannot say exactly at the moment, and one dead. The injured were dealt with very well immediately, in a clinic and transferred to hopsitals and are being cared for there. As far as outr information none of the injured are in a life-threatening condition, they are mainly lightly injured."

"What I meant to say earlier, our information is that the explosion did not occur in the event location but in front of it, in front of the entrance and so in that sense we are very pleased that no further people were injured by the explosion."
