A bizarre video has emerged from China of a car bursting into flames as it is stopped at a red light.

The footage, captured in Baise, Guangxi Province on Monday, shows a black car waiting at a red light when it quickly is engulfed in a ball of fire.

The passengers can be seen running away from the vehicle and reports say no one was injured.

Reports say overheat is the suspected cause of the fire.
