[] I think there's plenty of reason to vilify him, seeing as the only version of him we - the collective of Reddit, where you placed your disdain - have is of him doing something negligent and shitty that could've lead to the baby being seriously hurt. We vilify him in hopes of people seeing the almost universal anger toward his "mistake" and adjusting their own behavior to not repeat this man's actions.

[] While working on customer services for an energy company in the UK I had many stupid questions asked by customers. One of my favourites was when an irate customer called up complaining about the price of his gas bill. Looking at the bill and his previous bills it did seem very high. There were no price increases so I did some investigation and it turns out that this customer had, instead of turning on his central heating, opened his oven door, turned it on full blast and let the heat fill the entire house. He was very angry when I explained to him his oven uses gas and it is a very inefficient way of heating ones home.

Another great call was when a very angry customer called, blaming us for charging him twice as he had received 2 bills for his energy. I couldn't see on the system that we had and could only see one letter being sent but as with all computer systems it could be an error and we posted it twice. So I explained that there's no need to worry as we will only charge him once. The customer didn't believe me, so again I do some digging. I ask him to explain the 2nd letter. Around the time he mentioned that the logo on the corner was Mastercard I realised this was a credit card statement and he had paid his energy bill with his Mastercard. So the next 10 minutes of my life were spent, teaching a a grown ass man, how credit works.

I do not miss customer services.

[] 3 feet cubed? That's insane, there's videos of people playing steamvr games with 2 cameras without issue in 10x10 spaces. They talked about roomscale yesterday and stated 3 cameras as their official support for that. That also may introduce triangulation elements to offset resolution issues.

I still don't know what you mean by 'with IR', tracking wavelengths are irrelevant.

[] This is not necessarily true, if the trade is discovered to be faulty they can not honour any trades that took place. They did this a few years ago when some companies, including Accenture, crashed to sub-dollar prices in a few seconds.
