Heart Disease Deaths Higher in African Americans

Researchers have discovered that heart disease related deaths are higher in African Americans if they have both diabetes and poor kidney function. Diabetes and kidney disease are common ailments in African Americans. Researcher stated, “African Americans in low-income counties in Mississippi have higher rates of adverse cardiovascular outcomes and mortality than any other subpopulation in the United States, rates that are comparable to those in some of the most underprivileged parts of the globe.”
