Nepal, June 20 (ANI): Medical staff along with leaders of Madhesi Morcha staged protest against the arrest of 36 doctors in Nepal on Monday. Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal police had arrested 36 doctors, working in reputed hospitals, as part of a major crackdown on medical professionals in the country who have obtained medical degrees and licences by using fake academic credentials. Protesters claimed that the doctors were being treated as terrorists. Meanwhile, opposing the act of the police, emergency facilities and medical shops remained shut in some hospitals in Nepal. Madhesi Morcha and other parties have extended support to the doctors and have also warned to take their protest forward.
