2002 Hit-&-run Case | SC Rejects Plea To Cancel Salman’s Bail

The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a petition seeking cancellation of bail granted to Salman Khan in 2002 hit-and-run case by the Bombay High Court. The petition was filed by Sushila Himmatrao Patil, mother of Ravinder Patil, a police constable who was Salman Khan's bodyguard at the time when the 2002 accident took place. Patil died in 2007. In her petition, Sushila prayed to the apex court that she be made a party in the case and also challenged Salman's bail. According to the prosecution, Salman was drinking and driving his white car which left one person dead and four injured in Bandra on 28th September, 2002.
