Recipe for: Tofu & Chilli - Chinese Style
This is a dish you will love if you can handle the heat. Use water instead of chicken stock if you want a vegetarian dish.
Ingredients:
400g Tofu
2 Spring Onions
0.5cm Ginger
2 Cloves Garlic
150g Garlic Chilli Sauce
Small Bunch Coriander
1 Tbsp Sugar
150ml Chicken Stock (or water)
Methods:
1. Finely chop the garlic, ginger, spring onions and coriander.
2. Cut tofu into about 1cm cubes.
3. Heat 2 Tbsp oil in the wok until smoking hot.
4. Add garlic, ginger and garlic chilli sauce then stir fry for a minute.
5. Add the tofu and fry for half of a minute.
6. Add the chicken stock ( or water) and bring to the boil.
7. Cook for 5 minutes, stir occasionally.
8. Add sugar, salt, spring onions and coriander.
9. Transfer onto a dish and serve with rice.
