From the ABC Saturday Night Movie premiere of "Mallrats," broadcast Aug. 29, 1998, on Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate WFAA-TV. This aired before the start of the fall season, so there are quite a few ads for new series.

Break 1:
* Oldsmobile Discover Days sale
* Maybelline Moisture Whip lipstick
* Oreos (David Robinson shows his kids how to dunk!)
* Arizona khakis at JCPenney (Guess what, kids - blindly rebelling against The Man has become a cliche in itself!)
* Wendy's Fresh Stuffed Pitas (It's what all your "girlfriends" will be eating, because pitas and salads are the ONLY fast food women ever eat! Includes Dave Thomas.)
* Sprint "Titanic" video offer (Is a sinking ship REALLY what you want to associate your long distance with?)
* Hellmann's salad dressing
* "Spin City" promo (Showcases Paul; ABC evidently did a bunch of character-focused sitcom ads. Stay tuned for more ...)
* "The Hughleys" launch promo (Darryl Hughley rants about minivans. "He's George Jefferson and Archie Bunker rolled into one!")
* ABC News special: "Love, Lust & Marriage: Why We Stay and Why We Stray" (With John Stossel and ,,, penguins?)
* ABC Saturday Night Movie "will return" bumper
* "Dharma and Greg" promo
* WFAA "Good Morning Texas" promo (The crew heads to Denton for a live show from the University of North Texas campus. The drive's not THAT far, guys.)
* Bush's Baked Beans (Where'd you get that collar, Duke?)
* Whataburger (2 tacquitos for $2 in 2 minutes.)
* News 8 teaser (With Brad Watson)
* ABC Sunday Night Movie bumper

Break 2:
* ESPN Sunday Night Football (With dogs playing poker, including one voiced by Gilbert Gottfried, complaining about animal commericals. You'll see a few more of these in later volumes.)
* Almay One-Coat Mascara
* Pur Plus water-filtering pitcher
* Crest Multi-Care toothpaste (When you're a lifeguard, fresh breath can be a real lifesaver!)
* Sesame Street kids' clothes at K-Mart ("Whaddaya know?")
* McDonald's breakfast
* Chevy Model Year Clearance
* PSA - "Be a Big League Parent" (Not sure if these are real Padres players)
* "The Practice" promo
* "Sports Night" launch promo
* "The Drew Carey Show" promo (Showcasing Oswald's idiocy with a new version of the "Flipper" theme)
