A Tuesday editorial published by the state-backed DPRK said that Donald Trump is a “wise politician” and a “far-sighted presidential candidate.”
Han Yong Mook, a Chinese North Korean scholar, felt that there are "many positives" to draw from Trump's inflammatory policies.
Mook also praised the Republican presidential nominee for saying he wouldn't get involved in the war between North and South Korea.
Trump hopes to have direct conversations with North Korea and its leader Kim Jong Un.
Mook criticized Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for being "dull" and "claiming to adapt the Iranian model to resolve nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula."
