This month, makers from all over the world converged on San Mateo, California. These DIYers, hackers, and entrepreneurs came to town to attend the 2016 Bay Area Maker Faire—and they brought a crazy variety of contraptions with them. Projects ranged from a flame-spewing metal squid to an automatic knitting machine to a landscape built entirely of masking tape and beyond.
