Wunderkind director Xavier Dolan, 27, took home the Grand Prix at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival this past weekend. Dolan, known for directing Adele’s video for “Hello” and starring in Louis Vuitton campaigns, took a minute from his back-to-back Cannes schedule to talk to Vogue.com about why he doesn’t differentiate between high and pop culture.
