Flight MS804 was expected to arrive in Cairo at 03:15 (01:15 GMT) on Thursday after taking off from the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris at 23:09 (21:09 GMT). The plane was carrying 56 passengers and 10 crew members on board, according to flight tracking services. The airline also said that the Airbus A320 lost contact at around 02:30 (00:30 GMT), 10 miles (16 km) inside Egyptian airspace and was last registered at an altitude of 37,000 feet (11,300 metres).
