A CUP FINAL VIDEOS: UNITED V MILLWALL, 2004

Manchester United 3 Millwall 0
Saturday 22 May 2004; Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
Scorers: Ronaldo 44, van Nistelrooy 65 (pen), 81

For the first time since being shocked by Southampton in 1976, the Reds faced a side from the division below in the FA Cup final. Millwall were the plucky underdogs this time, led by player-manager Dennis Wise who had lost to United in the 1994 final as a Chelsea player.
There was to be no spirit-of-’76 shock, however, as Sir Alex Ferguson's men ran out comfortable winners. Cristiano Ronaldo's header broke the deadlock on the cusp of the interval and Ruud van Nistelrooy grabbed a second-half double, blasting home a 65th-minute penalty and tapping in from close range with nine minutes remaining.
United: Howard (Carroll 84), G Neville, Brown, Silvestre, O’Shea, Fletcher (Butt 84), Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo (Solskjaer 84), van Nistelrooy.
