ADNAN OKTAR: "Teacher, how did the religious sects emerge, why are they so common?" asks Erica. As there are a lot of false hadiths, this inevitably leads to the emergence of different sects. For example one of them preaches that takbir (Arabic phrase translated as “God is great”) during prayer is an obligation. The other one says it is not. One says the meat of an animal is lawful, while the other says, "it is unlawful." This leads to the existence of different sects, and each are like different religions.
