Bengaluru, May 12 (ANI): Karnataka Police have become the first police department in the country to own a fleet of drones. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that were procured last month have night vision and have already helped cops in detecting illegal mining. Each UAV came fitted with high definition 18.2 megapixel cameras and cost 1.5 lakh. The drones will also be used in non-police activities as well, like monitoring water levels of lakes.
