Culling of chickens begin in Bidar farm

Bidar (Karnataka), May 11 (ANI): The Bidar administration decided to cull 1 lakh 20 thousand hens in a private poultry house after the birds were detected suffering from bird flu two days ago. The poultry farm is owned by one Ramesh Gupta. The poultry houses around 1 lakh 60 thousand hens, of which 40 thousand hens have died in the past eight day. As many as 50 teams, each comprising a veterinary doctor, a veterinary inspector, two 'D' group employees and an assistant have been engaged to cull 1.20 lakh chickens.
