The Saharan addax once dominated the landscape in parts of Niger and Chad. Now, there could be as few as 3 of them living in their native habitat.

The Saharan addax, an antelope known for its long, twisted horns, once dominated the landscape in the eastern portion of Niger and the western reaches of Chad, reports the Huffington Post. 
Now, there could be just 3 of them living in their native habitat. 
That’s how many were spotted during a rather exhaustive search conducted by the International Union for Conservation of Nature in March.
