Shimla, May 07 (ANI): Twenty-eight-year old Seema Thakur has become the first lady driver to join the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC). Thakur is the only female among 3000 HRTC drivers. She joined the Shimla office of the HRTC on May 5 and has started her first day by driving a Tavera specially assigned to ferry women across the state. Seema believes it is a dream come true and more women are more likely to come forward to join the road service after her. HRTC is leaving no stone unturned to encourage women drivers and would soon be appointing many more for their buses.
