European Commission Chief Spokesperson Margaritis Schinas welcomed the decision from Turkey to remove visa restrictions for European Union citizens, including Greek Cypriots, during a press briefing in Brussels on Tuesday. Schinas said it is important to stress that "there are eleven member states where Turkey hadn't recognised free movement. But with that decision yesterday, that's been done now for all those eleven countries, which takes us up to all twenty-eight."
