Mallya in forced exile, refutes charges of diverting KFA funds

New Delhi, Apr 29 (ANI): Liquor baron Vijay Mallya has refuted charges of diverting funds out of Kingfisher Airlines, stating that he had been on a 'forced exile'. In an interview with Financial Times, Mallya, who had left India on March 2 for UK, said his passport was seized in a haste and without any intimation. His passport was revoked by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) after considering the facts put forth by the Enforcement Directorate. The businessman is facing legal proceedings for alleged default of loans worth over Rs 9,000 crore from various banks.
